As a native of Pensacola, Florida, Lonnie L. Simmons graduated from Tate High School where he served as student body president during his senior year. He went on to graduate from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1980. In 1983, he graduated from the University of Florida, College of Law, with a Juris Doctorate degree, where he concentrated his elective studies in the area of taxation.

Lonnie has been practicing law in Florida for over 39 years and has remained a member in good standing of the Florida Bar since 1983 and a Certified Public Accountant in Florida since 1984. His legal practice is focused on helping small and medium sized businesses, sole proprietors, and entrepreneurs deal with the legal challenges and tax implications that they encounter in carrying out their work. He is committed to working hard for his clients and helping them achieve results. He has foresight and is diligent and thoroughly prepared. By analyzing in depth the legal and tax implications of business transactions and agreements, he is able to anticipate potential pitfalls and help clients avoid costly and protracted litigation and disputes.

Outside of the office, Lonnie loves spending time with his wife, Meg, of 38 years. He is also an avid cyclist and outdoorsman, enjoying such sports as kayaking, hiking, and running.
